Hajj

Every year, over two million Muslims from all over the world from vivid backgrounds travel to Makkah to perform Hajj, the Holy Pilgrimage, and over one and a half billion Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (Celebration of Sacrifice) in conjunction. Hajj is a requirement for every Muslim who is able to perform it. It is one of the five pillars of Islam.

“And proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage. They will come unto thee on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every deep ravine” (Al-Hajj : 27)

“And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither. As for him who disbelievsth, lo; Allah is independent of creatures.” (Al-Imran : 97)
